Parish Center Information

The Parish of St. Clement is currently seeking funds to begin construction of a new Parish Center.  This Parish Center will allow us to expand and improve our parish ministries.  As people of God, we will welcome warmly all who come here so His love will be known in our every gathering.

We need your help to move forward with this major addition to our parish. At this current time, any charitable gifts to the Parish Center are being deposited with St. Clement Charities, Inc. Download the Building Fund Gift Agreement.  For more information about the St. Clement Charities, contact Bob Perry, IV at 573-324-6538.

The final architectural drawing is at the main entry to the church or view Parish Center Floor Diagram. The building is approximately 10,000 square feet. The Parish Center will include:

  • Multipurpose room/gymnasium to include bleacher seating
  • Kitchen and Concession Area
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Parish Office
  • Pre-School Area
  • Restrooms with showers

Progress Status:

January 19, 2012 - A joint meeting of the Parish Council, School Board, Finance Committee and Building Committee, as well as parishioners at large, voted unanimously to move forward with the entire project.

January 17, 2012 - Link to Fr. Bill's Pastor's Pen for detailed update.

December 4, 2011 - The construction of the Parish Center has hit a few delays. The four bids that were received had a large range between the high and the low bid. The Diocesan Director of Buildings suggested that we reject the bids and develop a better bid package by having an engineering firm write specifications for structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The Building Committee has gotten proposals from two firms and plans to select an engineering firm soon. We are hopeful that bid packages will go out in January and that a contractor can be selected by March or April. Site work could be started at that time and we are hopeful that construction can be started by the end of May 2012.

June 15, 2011 - Four bids were received and reviewed by the committee.  The bids ranged from $623,000 to $847,000. These bids do not include site preparation, sewer, utility hookups and improvements to the parking lots. The committee is currently evaluating the four bids.
